POUGHKEEPSIE, NY — Treaty, the new production by Vassar College's Movement Theater Project, will be presented on Thursday, May 4, at 8:00 p.m., in the Martel Theater of the college's Vogelstein Center for Drama and Film. Conceived and directed by Vassar instructor Kathy Wildberger, tickets to Treaty are free and open to the public, and available from the Campus Activities information desk in the College Center. Additional performances for the Vassar Community will be presented on Friday, May 5, at 6:30 and 9:00 p.m.
Kathy Wildberger is both Assistant Director of the Vassar Repertory Dance Theatre, and the Movement Sequentialist for the department of drama. She also frequently teaches, performs, and choreographs nationally and abroad.
Wildberger founded and directed the PATH Dance Company in Baltimore for eleven years, and was a founding member of the Toronto Dance Theatre. She has been awarded several fellowships and grants from the Maryland State Arts Council through the National Endowment for the Arts, and has taught extensively at The Metropolitan Opera, Sesce Pompeii in Brasil, The University of Montana, and the Harkness Dance Center at New York City's 92nd Street Y, among other locales.
