Arlington Street Fair will celebrate Poughkeepsie neighborhood

Poughkeepsie, NY (September 16, 2004) — From 12:00-7:00 p.m. on Saturday October 2, Raymond Avenue in the Town of Poughkeepsie will come alive with the sights, sounds, and aromas of the sixth annual Arlington Street Fair, including nonstop entertainment on two stages, dozens of vendors, a climbing wall, rides, chili cook-off, and fireworks at dusk. Sponsored by the Arlington Business Improvement District, Poughkeepsie Chamber of Commerce, Vassar Student Association, and Vassar College, the festival has been expanded to start and end two hours later than previous years.

Where: Raymond Avenue, between Collegeview and the Eastbound Arterial

Cost: Free

Parking: Free parking available on the lot on Davis Avenue, on the lot behind Prime Financial on Raymond Avenue, and on neighboring streets. In addition, a shuttle loop will run to and from the Poughkeepsie High School and Poughkeepsie Middle School lots from 4:30-8:30 p. m.
