I Won’t Grow Up Day at Vassar College, April 5

The 23rd annual "I Won't Grow Up Day" at Vassar College is scheduled on Saturday, April 5, in the College Center from noon to 4 p.m.

The event is intended for children and kids-at-heart of all ages in the greater Hudson Valley area. All events are free and open to the public. All proceeds from concessions and souvenirs will be donated to the Child Abuse Prevention Center in Poughkeepsie.

Festivities include arts and crafts, games, educational tables and demonstrations sponsored by campus groups, a fire prevention demonstration by the Arlington Fire Department, and child fingerprinting by the Town of Poughkeepsie Police. Award winning photographer and photo illustrator, Myles C. Pinkney, will celebrate the racial diversity of children with a talk in the College bookstore from noon to 1 pm. He and his wife, Sandra L. Pinkney, have collaborated on A Rainbow All Around Me and Shades of Black .
