Noted author and psychological theorist James Hillman to lecture at Vassar, February 19

James Hillman, noted author and psychological theorist, will deliver the Wood Memorial Lecture presented by the Vassar College Religion Department, on Wednesday, February 19, at 5:30 p.m., in the Sanders Auditorium at Vassar College. The lecture is free and open to the public.

Hillman studied with Swiss psychiatrist Carl Jung in the 1950s and was the first director of studies at the Jung Institute in Zurich. He has taught at Yale, Syracuse, and the universities of Chicago and Dallas. Since the early 1960s, Hillman has written more than 20 books on his theories about contemporary psychology and lectured on the need to get therapy out of the consulting room and into the real world.
