Vassar Repertory Dance Theater performances, November 21-24

The Vassar Repertory Dance Theatre (VRDT) will hold a formal showing of works in the Kenyon Hall Studio Theater at Vassar College on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, November 21-23, at 8 p.m. and Sunday, November 24, at 3 p.m.

The performance showcases dance pieces choreographed by faculty, students, and guest choreographers of VRDT, providing an opportunity to witness the creative process of choreography and dance performance. It is free and open to the public.

The highlight of this year's final showings is "Esplanade," a modern piece created by choreographer Paul Taylor. Participating Vassar faculty choreographers include Katherine Wildberger, Stephen Rooks, and Jeanne Periolat Czula. Guest choreographers Abby Saxon, Philip Otto, and VRDT alumna Kim Dooley (Vassar Class of 1982) will also present new works along with student choreographers Kitty Sailer, Jessie Feller, Seth Sklar-Heyn, Tommy Noonan, Lauren Duff, Vanna Sann, Julia Sabangan, and Sam Petersson.

Vassar Repertory Dance Theatre is a company in residence of the Vassar College Dance Program under the direction of Paul D. Mosely. Since 1993, VRDT has provided dance students with an opportunity to perform significant dance works of the classic ballet and modern repertoire, as well as original works by faculty and student choreographers.
