Vassar College Jazz Ensemble in concert, at the Skinner Recital Hall, November 15

POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. — The Vassar College Jazz Ensemble will feature music by Charles Mingus, Stan Kenton, Maynard Ferguson, and Count Basie at 8 p.m. on Friday, November 15, in the Skinner Recital Hall of Vassar College.

The concert, sponsored by the Department of Music is free and open to the public.

The concert will feature trumpeter David Streim, tenor saxophonist Matt Huntington, and vocalists Mathew Miller, Molly Powers, and Sukari Jones. The 23-piece ensemble is under the direction of James Osborn, a member of the Vassar College music faculty, trumpeter, and bandleader.
