Conference to discuss the “living wage’ at the Family Partnership Center, October 25

Three local experts from diverse perspectives will discuss "A Living Wage? Perspectives on the Effect of Minimum Wage Increases on Community Economic Development," at a conference on Friday, October 25, from 8:30 a.m. to noon at the Family Partnership Center in Poughkeepsie. The presenters will respond to questions from panelists representing business, labor, housing, and food security concerns.

Conference presenters include: Michael J. Ditullo, executive director of Mid-Hudson Pattern for Progress; Shirley Johnson-Lans, professor of economics at Vassar College; and Ron Deutsch, executive director of the Statewide Emergency Network for Social and Economic Security (SENSES).

Cosponsored by Vassar College, Dutchess Outreach, and the Eleanor Roosevelt Center at Val-kill (ERVK), the conference is free and open to the public. Pre-registration is requested.
