Jonathan Franzen, author of "The Corrections," will give the William Gifford Lecture on Thursday, September 19, at 6 p.m. in the Villard Room, Main Building, Vassar College.
The lecture is sponsored by the Vassar College English Department.
Franzen is the author of "The Twenty-Seventh City," "Strong Motion," and the essay collection "How to be Alone." He is a frequent contributor to the New Yorker and Harper's.
