Pianist Todd Crow will perform works by Bach and Brahms in a recital at 3 p.m. Sunday, September 30, at Vassar College's Skinner Recital Hall.
The concert is free and open to the public.
The program will include "Chromatic Fantasy and Fugue in D minor," BWV 903 and "Overture in the French Style (Partita in B minor)," BWV 831, by J.S. Bach, as well as "Sonata in F minor," Op. 5, by Johannes Brahms.
Crow, who has performed in concert halls in North and South America and Europe, maintains an active performance schedule with upcoming performances at Wave Hill in Riverdale, the Lincoln Center Library, and in Hamburg, Germany. In addition to live performances, Crow's recent recordings include a CD of Liszt's piano solo arrangement of Berlioz's "Symphonie fantastique' released last spring and a two-CD set of Schubert sonatas, which came out last year.
A professor of music at Vassar College, Crow is also music director of the Mount Desert Festival of Chamber Music in Northeast Harbor, Maine.
During this summer's 38th season of the festival, Crow collaborated with members of the Shanghai String Quartet and the Miami String Quartet.
