Globalization and economic justice is the topic of a Vassar College lecture by Samuel Bowles, September 13

Professor Samuel Bowles of the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, will speak on globalization and economic justice at Vassar College on Thursday, September 13, at 5 p.m. in Rockefeller Hall, room 300. The economics department sponsors the annual Martin H. Crego lecture, which is free and open to the public.

Bowles, an economics professor, has written numerous books and papers. He received the Museum of Education Book of the Century prize in 1999 for "Schooling in Capitalist America." Among Bowles's forthcoming books are "Globalization and Redistribution: Feasible Egalitarianism in a Competitive World," "The Intergenerational Transmission of Economic Status: Education, Class, and Genetics," and "In Search of Homo Economicus: Behavioral Experiments in 15 Simple Societies."
