Vassar College's 16th annual Junior Classic squash tournament will be played at Kenyon Hall at Vassar and at the Poughkeepsie Tennis Club from Friday through Sunday, November 23-25.
Games, which are free and open to the public, will be played on Friday from noon-9 p.m., on Saturday from 8 a.m.-9 p.m., and on Sunday from 8 a.m.-5 p.m.
For the first time this year, the Vassar Junior Classic is a sanctioned United States Squash Racquets Association National (USSRA) event, a status given to only four venues across the country each year.
An entry pool of over 150 players is expected, including some of the top juniors in the country and 10 players from Bermuda. The results from these tournaments will help the USSRA select its National Junior Teams to represent America in International competition during 2002, including the 12th World Junior Men's Championships in Chennai, India in August 2002. There will be eight age group divisions with main rounds and consolations.
