Vassar's annual Student Composers' Concert will be held at 8 p.m. on Monday, May 1, in Skinner Recital Hall. The concert is free and open to the public. Music faculty and students will perform a variety of works for percussion duo, string duo, winds, saxophone, and chorus. Taped pieces from the electronic music studio will also be presented.
The 14 composers on the program come from both composition courses and the electronic music studio at Vassar. They are Ana Dane, Wendell Edwards, Peter Holmes, Jaime Johnson, Allison Lee, Zeb Schorr, Kendra Smith, and Jesse Stiles of the class of 2000; Peter Lakes, Malcolm Pullinger, Michael Ross, and Morgan Stoffregen of the class of 2001; and Patrick Castillo and Paul Szaniawski of the class of 2002.
