Diana E. E. Kleiner, deputy provost for the arts at Yale University, will discuss "Faustina and Friends: Women in Rome and Cyberspace' at Vassar College on Thursday, November 16, at 6 p.m. The lecture, which is free and open to the public, will be held in Taylor Hall, room 203.
Kleiner, the Dunham Professor of Classics and History of Art at Yale, will focus on the portrait of Faustina the Elder, which is currently on display in Vassar's Frances Lehman Loeb Art Center, on loan from Mount Holyoke College Art Museum. The lecture is sponsored by the departments of art and classics, the Friends of the Frances Lehman Loeb Art Center, and the Office of the President.
